I played tour guide today. We hit Old Faithful and I actually got to see it go off this time. We also ventured into the Old Faithful Inn. Wow! You must visit the Inn. I can’t believe I’ve never been in there; it‘s open to the public. It’s by far the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. I tried to snap a few interior pics but they can’t come close to capturing even an ounce of that place’s juju. And I do mean juju–all of the photos were blurry, despite my camera being totally fine. We also walked around West Thumb, Mud Volcano, hiked to an overlook for the Grand Prismatic Pool, walked around the Grand Prismatic boardwalk and went to the secret swimming spot in the Firehole River. Not too shabby! Here are some photos from Grand Prismatic and Old Faithful. Don’t worry, there will be a photographic extravaganza of the Old Faithful Inn a few more blog posts down the line.
